how could ferib know that? He only plays on trial accounts, so he can't even test which ones work and which don't. He only knows about the garrison illusions because there was a thread posted about it which was deleted shortly after.

How i know that?
Cuz i tested it myself lol.
And no, i do not play Trial only, i have like 8+ accounts where i bot & test / develop new hacks on.
My Twink is a level 20 character, wich may looks like i play Trial, but i actually pay for it.

we were talking about the glaives or the GM mace, which obviously don't save over. Everything else is pretty much useless honestly, but sadly can be saved.

it doesn't work on gray items indeed, but alt+f4 or d/c doesn't force the servers to save shit,
and exploit that to get perm GM weps

that's kinda what we were looking for, so far... no, sadly. I only haven't tested a few illusions, some class specific ones -> like the ones that are only available for rogues or shamans. so if someone could test those it'd be great.

You cannot get the Corrupted Ashbringer using illusion, i tested them all and non gave it.
I tried manipulating the transmog system by replacing illusion ID's but that didn't work.

I had good hopes for the elite pvp illusions, but they all gave crap. Hoped the class specific ones would give something good but I guess all out of luck. Might be a good idea to make a spreadsheet of which illusion gives which weapon. I'll do that when I resub I guess.

How about finding out why those illusion trigger those weps?
check illusion id, source id, Display ID, Display ID illusion and item ID.
just compare then and see how the can effect each other.

don't really think it's worth it at this point, it'll probably get patched really soon.

I tried looking into the IDs and couldn't find anything that would link the items to the illusions.
Wouldn't hurt if someone who knew more about the stuff took a glance tho.

Its all about the transmog wep and then FIRST illusion you apply to your wep.
cuz you will go into second spec, and then add a other illusion to that wep, wich does not effect the other classes.
So make sure you choos the right illusion, double check that first.
And maybe you can convert the ID's to HEX or do some other crazy stuff no one thinks about?

It's quite simple actually.

1) Have transmogged weapon with transmogged enchant
2) All Spec > Remove Weapon Transmog > Apply
3) Current Spec > Add Weapon Transmog > Apply
4) Change Spec
In my case, I used my Warrior, going between Arms and Fury, Rogue going between Outlaw and Assassination, and Druid going between Resto and Guardian. It just won't work, no matter what weapon/enchant combo I try. When removing the transmog and not illusion, it places a circle over the enchant icon denoting that the weapon cannot be given enchants. The enchant does stay when transmogging to another item, but it is gone with the untransmogged artifact weapon. Is there some step that isn't posted that I somehow missed, or does this not work for artifact weapons?
Tried both, couldnt get it to work. Does weapon type have anything to do with it? Went from Fury (2x 2handed sword) to Arms (1x 1handed axe).

About IDs, that's actually fairly simple to understand.
Each enchant has an ID you can find quickly on wowhead. "Illusion: Winter's Grasp" has the ID 5448 for instance; thanks to the bug it turns into the item with the displayid 5448 which is a spear. I might make a full list soon.
