Multiple "Smoldering Ember" (Timewalking 500 badge quest) handins

Just a quick heads up, I was able to get 4 Smoldering Embers this week on EU (and hand them in, for 2000 Timewarped Badge total).


EDIT: Relogging confirmed for being the trigger, just relog after handing in the quest and you get more Embers.

I believe the trigger may be completing one dungeon before the weekly reset. After 9am and the reset I was able to hand in 3 more, but the Smoldering Ember stopped dropping when I re-queued with the same group.

According to Reddit, relogging after handing in the Smoldering Ember may also be the trigger but I can't confirm that.

This is a great exploit. I was wondering why I could turn in the quest 3 times in one day, and even in one week. It's gonna get patched real fast but I don't think mayn will get punished for it unless they farm 5k+ badges in one day.

You're definitely getting banned. This exploit is just as malicious as the world boss exploit. Blizz can't prevent people from relogging to another chararacter and back, but getting 8k makes it pretty obvious that you knew what you were doing.

i farmed 10K already lol,
and i just started to play 110, so is spammed TW to get full 850 - 865 gear.
do you think will perm ban? or just suspend you untill the event is over?

most likely 1-4 week ban. i guess 2 weeks tbh. and only if they wanna ban everyone that exploited this.

I farmed like 2k, but I think if they're gonna ban people it's gonna be a banwave. But tbh some people could've just been doing this without even knowing it's an exploit.

If you relog after every Dungeon and relog and do the Quest over and over it's obvious you are abusing it.

It just got fixed, Additional Quest Items are removed from my Mailbox upon re-loading

If you have done it like twice (4k), it is possible you are just that dumb so no bans. But getting 20k like some ppl were boasting in trade channel is defo gettin' banned IF BLIZZARD CARES. Keep us posted guys, let's see if EEEO is true.
