Suramar Story Quest [Temporal Investigations]

Hey there!

The story quest for Suramar released this week leads you into a purple time anomaly field.


The anomaly spawns little purple voidwalkers with very low HP but a normal loot table.
With this enchantment I managed to get a full stack of Felslate in under 10 minutes.
Enchant Shoulder - Boon of the Scavenger - Item - World of Warcraft

-Accept quest and make sure that Khadgar is following you
-Walk into the field and run past Lady Liadrin so Khadgar doesn't unfreeze her (heroic leap, blink)
-If Khadgar starts to talk to Liadrin just run out and abandon the quest
-camp in front of the stairs and kill all the little adds spawing and loot them.
-Win. Just make sure that you have a shoulder enchantment that drops the stuff you need and enjoy

Can't seem to be able to run past Liadrin. Details?

The first time I ran past her someone was already engaged in combat with the adds that spawn once khadgar tries to unfreeze her.
But that doesn't seem to be a requirement, I just keep to the right of the walkway and use my movement ability (heroic leap) to get past her. Just did the quest with my warlock, the demonic Gateway also works to get past her.

Sometimes I manage to get to the end of the bridge, sometimes I don't.
Anyway, these small mobs spawn in random places and if you happen to have them spawn on the other side of the bridge you can only hope for someone to come and kill them for you (because you cannot run back as it makes Khadgar release Liadrin and gets the quest completed).
So if you're having bad luck with where the mobs spawn, it's not worth doing it. Especially if you're melee.
I killed about a hundred of these folks and only got 1x Salvaged Armor.

There might be a way to make it more efficient though, thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that Maybe I got lucky when I tried it with my warrior, got 4 Salvaged armor in the first group that spawned and decent droprates after that. I don't have the reputation on my WL to farm any of the materials so I don't have an option to test that farmspot with a ranged class.

I realized this yesterday as well. Had 2 Bloodhunters Quarry's drop but not much else. Found it to be more efficient to simply run through the zone, aoe down the 4-5 packs that insta-spawn (killing the larger arcane aberrations seems to trigger a spawn for the group packs) drop the 2-4 packs that spawn after Khadgar begins interaction with Liadrin then reset quest after he teleports you out.
