Transferring Gold Question (buying/reselling mounts after realm/faction transfer)

Hello OwnedCore, quick question about transferring gold via mount(s):

Hypothetical here, let's say you purchase the most expensive mount from a vendor, Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak (Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak - Item - World of Warcraft), which costs 120,000 gold. Now there is a 2 hour window to resell this back to the vendor (Uncle Bigpocket) for full price, but does this 2 hour window expire or get canceled when you realm or faction transfer?

My assumption is that it will, but I have not been able to locate information saying one way or another. I have been tempted to do this because the item is not unique, so you could technically carry 7 plus some garrison plans for gold cap.

If anyone has tried this method and can confirm whether or not the 2 hour window is negated by the transfer, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

take this from previous experience you would get like 50g for the yak lol.

If you need to x-fer the gold, buy some expensive, but fast, selling items, like certain mounts, pets, mythic BoEs, transmog or materials, like the orbs for tigers/rockets

I feared this was the case, but glad someone could confirm for me. I typically get TCG mounts cheap and resell them on the destination realm. Oh well, I'll figure something out.

If you just want to transfer gold above the 50k limit you can form a guild and pay 10$ more for a guild transfer and there is no cap on gold you can put in the gbank when you transfer,

Ah ah ahhh you literally said the clue!

Void storage keeps the "resell" timer, usually. I know this from transmogging. But as I type this and had the idea with the void storage that could possibly work for the OP, void storage has to be empty, right?

Threadstarter, the easiest way to transfer gold without even transfering a char is to buy the most expensive battlepets. Learn them and if you want to get them to another account and load that account with gold, you simply create a lvl 1 toon on the same server as your "main" that has the stuff, trade the pet, learn it on the new account and then use it on whatever server you like.

If you want to go 100k+ or even 500k+ you buy the Blizzcon thingies.

The thing is tho, to resell them, which might take some time. Because who has so much gold? Like 2% of the entire player base maybe.

I encounter this with my gold making strategies who in theory are marvellous, but when it comes to actually selling, I really sit quite some time on expensive items. Tabard, mounts, pets, you name it. Mostly I alter my idea of a prize and sell it lower

You'll need to pay for a guild transfer $35USD or figure out what items sell in the AH better on your new server. If you go from full to medium you can make a TON of profit on pets and mounts, not so much going the opposite way.
No exploits though.
