Done Sha, Galleon, Oondasta and Nalak. Everyone got different loot and no mounts. This was on EU servers.

Just a thought, but if you have a tank with decent gear you can probably just solo the sha, at least using the shado-pan companion exploit:

Some people have done it without exploits so its probably a breeze for a pro tank to do it this way. There's two pages of solo kills on youtube,
every class except pure dps ones.

It changes it from 0.03 to 0.06. It is the same as saying the probabiltiy of doing the mount once a week for two weeks. 1 - ( ( 1 - x ) ^ y ). So 0.06%, doubled (only in this case, it's not normally doubled)

x is the drop chance (0.03) and y is the number of runs. Since if you get the mount (you get the mount) and if raidleader gets the mount (you also get it) y = 2.

1 - (( 1-0.03) ^ 2 ) = 0.0591 or 0.6. I didn't mean it was directly doubled, it just happens to be

Regardless of percentage and probability math, it is still useful, provided you don't think with the "There can only be one!" mentality.

You can either go for this yourself and only you get the mount -or- you could potentially spread the fortune with your guildies or friends by taking them along.

Depends. The drop chance is still calculated on a single player, so if 1 person is unlucky, 39 others will be too.

Not sure if I would pin for this. I would just wonder if I would have gotten it if I were leader, or solo'd it. On the other side, neither would I like to see 40 people getting the mount, that takes away the rarity. Couple of friends, sure. A full group of randoms? I'd feel like "meh". It's not like the Sha mount is exactly the prettiest mount in the game, it's just known for it's extreme rarity, which is why people ride on ugly mounts, just because they're rare.

Same goes for me. I ride mounts on rarity. And owning nearly every mount in-game, I must say I always go back to using the black AQ battle tank. When I get other rare stuff like Voidtalon, it feels exciting and new, and I use it, but that feeling of excitement disappears after a couple of days when you see others with it.

It's always like that though, people usually care more about status and "standing out" and impressing others, than cosmetic looks. Some tier 3's look awful, the lock one for example - still I do have it myself, just because it's rare.
