Eficient and 100% afk Lovely Charm Farm

Hey guys, just found an interesting way of farming Lovely Charms, those needed for the World Event. I did it as a hunter, but I think it will work for any class that can keep a permanent pet.

1) First, head to the Heroic version of Scarlet Monastery.
2) Clear all the trash before the first boss, but keep all the Piles of Corpses alive.
3) You must deal some damage to every Pile of Corpses, so that every corpse will spawn and attack you.
4) Put your pet in hostile or defensive mode.

Thats it. The zombies will spawn, run towards you, and as soon as they hit you, your pet will kill them. As a hunter I used the talent "Spiritual bound", so that I can afk for hours without dying.
It is worth noting that you dont need to loot the corpses to get the Lovely Charms, they appear in your bag.

As a level 100 mage, i cleared all trash, i had the piles spawning mobs but i was getting 0 charms.
So ?

dont you have to deliver the killing blow in order to be eligible to recieve a charm? My elemental kills them and I get nothing....

I've gotten a good bit of charms so far, no clue if you didn't have it on heroic or not

You probably forgot to pick up the item which lets to gather the charms?
I've used auto clicker to farm the charms and got roughly 800-900 per hour.

Yeah, you remember to set the dg dificulty to heroic, and to pick the item in Orgrimmar. You just have to talk to one of the goblins outside the AH.
You dont have to deliver the killing blow, you get the charms when your pet kills the mobs.

After afking for about 3 hours I had 136 stacks. (40 x 136), so 5440 lovely charms, aka 544 lovely bracelets (which can be turned in for 544 love tokens) which I bought two swift love birds (going for about 30k atm on my server)

Wouldn't be surprised if this gets hotfixed.

to quickly convert the charms to love tokens, while you have the vendor open to exchange use this macro i made:

/use Lovely Charm
/run BuyMerchantItem (1,1)

Spammable.

Did you set your pet on defensive or assist? I'm having trouble getting more than 15 stacks per hour. I've aggroed all of the pits and followed the steps (no other trash remaining) and have my pet on defensive.

that's about normal after a possible nerf. I highly doubt he got anywhere near that much in 3 hours, especially if he really was afk using Ghostcrawler...

I set it on assist. My ilvl is 666 so my pet (BM spec) one shots the zombies. It does appear the drop rate was hotfixed from last night with server reset (now takes about 6 hours to get 136 stacks)

i only get charms when i tag zombies. anything my pet kills solo doesnt drop charms. and before you ask. yes i have charm kit and its on heroic. maybe they hotfixed again? but this has been the case for me since shortly after post was made
