Cruel trick with console command

Try to trick someone into typing this with something like "omg, this unlocks a clue to the next expansion!!!11"

"/console blizzcon 1"

The next time they open WoW they will not be allowed to access the Options panel in the game or any console commands as it will be locked out. This must be a command that Blizzard used to eliminate tampering on the demonstration and tournament PCs in conventions.

The only way they can reverse the change is by opening their config.wtf and deleting the line.

Confirmed. This is a pretty funny command. Also you really need to edit config.wtf as doing "/console blizzcon 0" won't get it back to normal.

This is used for the wow game at the blizzcon computers at the actual event, they dont want people mucking up the options so its locked when players test out the game on the arena torunament comptuers and stuff at the event. Your evil, your cruel, and i love it. + rep mister evil

That doesn't matter anymore for only $15 you can donate to this site and have access to the elite section. I'm pretty sure Blizzards dev/GM already have account on here that payed/donated for that service. It's only a matter of time for them to just login and check what new bug has appeared and if its worth hotfixing right away or not.

However, since the reference to this functionality is inside hp94's addon and not specifically on the forums, I'll +rep since if I'm iffy on whether or not its a report, KuRIoS will rage and tell me its not technically a repost.

EDIT: Social Engineering pro-tip: If they question you saying "Oh, knowing you it's probably going to do X instead or something bad", or just generally distrust it, tell them "It says BLIZZCON, what do you expect it to do?". And if you really want, throw in an exaggerated bad scenario to make them feel like they were silly for distrusting you and thinking that situation would happen.
