    Hey there.


    There's currently a bug affecting the guards on Tol Barad Pennsula.

    as an alliance player (i'll use a druid as an example) if you tag a player with moonfire and Insect Swarm (you can run out to about halfway across the bridge) run back to your base and stand by the guard, the next tick of Moonfire/sunfire/IS/etc will tag the guard onto the horde player.

    i play a horde player, and trust me its retardedly annoying.

    i'll try to get some fraps going tonight, or some screenshots.



    To condence it down: Alliance players can Tag there Base guards onto horde players with Dots, at an incredible range.

    gonna have to find someone to help me get a couple of good screenies (or a video) up. O__O

    Horde guards do the same thing. This is a change with the 4.1 patch for both sides, and is very annoying.

    It's working as intended, and works for the horde side as well.

    If memory serves from personal testing a while ago it's related to whether or not you/they are in combat followed by you saying hello to your guards.

    Alliance on my server do this all the time because it's like a 1:10 A:H ratio or something crazy.

    ive seen the guards for horde side start to run out to alliance, they run about 5 feet, then run back.


    the alliance guards will run all the way across the spider area.

    also, i think the exploit is more the fact that you can cast a dot on an alliance, then run back to your base and you can nail the oppisite faction with a guard from a VERY LONG distance.

    I've had Horde guards chase alliance into the spider area as well. Like I said, I'm 99.999_% sure it's related to one or both of you being in combat.

    interesting. i still maintin however that dot ticks from 75+ yds away should not be triggering the guards.

    I have never understood the guards or the removal of being pvp flagged after TB is over,that was really the only point in sticking around WG when it was over to actually enjoy some world pvp if you played on a pve server,but leave it to Blizzard to not condone pvp in a pvp zone. GG
