Heirloom Item Bug?

Recently bought the Polished Spaulders of Valor for an alt paladin i was planning on leveling, sent them to him, and played him for a while, about 40mins ~ish. Then i decided i no longer wanted an alt paladin, and quickly sent them back to my main to see if i could refund, the tooltip refund thingy, said i could refund them within 1hr 58 mins, i presume the refund time counts down for the amount of time they are with the character you bought them with, if so, then you could send any heirloom item to an alt, then send them back when you are done, ultimately spending nothing, could anyone confirm?

It's confirmed. Will be using it on my rogue to get another dagger once I spec into Muti.

Considering he has a solid ammt of rep, and has obv given to the community (and been a member for quite some time now) I think he can post in w/e threads he wants.
