Cast while Outside the flame wall for Zul'jin

Checked for any topics using the search under words "Cast while outside for Zul'Jin" Nothing came up. I also understand that with xpac right around the corner, people might not have a use for this. However today, I found this during our bear selling run.

I got locked out and pretty much just stood there. Come tornado phase, I had to run. I accidently hit my button in the middle of the stairs and saw my IFF on the boss. People in vent pointed it out to me and asked what I did.

So I figured, maybe because he was in bird phase, he was in los. Come Lynx phase, I went back to the steps I was on and tried again. I could continue to cast, as if inside the room for this boss. This continued for the Dragonhawk phase as well.

Pretty sure any Caster dps can handle this, and its good if that caster can heal itself (spriest, moonkin) so you can dps and kite during the tornado phase.

Anyway, here are some screenshots. However the boss was already killed so a had a guildie stand uptop and I would heal him through the floor.


The red area is where you can cast, you can go from one side to the other around those steps and be able to cast.

Come next reset, I will try and grab an inaction screenshot of my debuffs on the boss, fresh and with him in a later phase (around 3-4) so it can show that I wasn't in and just ran out or anything.

Once again, sorry if this has been reposted, but I checked and didn't find anything, as well as my apologies for no ingame screenshots of the boss up there.

yeah, come reset I will try and do this, I would also like anyone who has a free reset now to try and confirm it for me. (I might get myself locked out on purpose, don't know if my guildmaster will like that or not..this was the 2nd time in a row I did it :P )

Yeah, I remember that one, but it requires a bit of wall jumping. I tried it while I was locked out. This one however is just simple. Get locked out, go to the middle of the steps...win.

Anyone able to test it yet and confirm for me? We aren't running ZA tonight but doing naxx on beta so I don't have a chance :/

this is realy cool but in phase 3 if you cast do you get hurt?
