Solo H-Boss ~ Druid

you can solo Thorngrin the Tender, the third boss in the Botanica, as a druid. Just follow these 10 easy steps:

1. Stealth to Mr. Thorngrin (You need improved stealth from feral talent tree)

2. When you are entering his room (when you see his text emote) just hug the right wall and you will eventually get to a ledge that drops down to the floor that Mr. Thorngrin is on.

3. Don't drop down to the floor... instead drop down to the ledge that outlines the room.

4. Once on the ledge stay on the ledge (if you leave the ledge you will die, I'm a man of my word)

5. Start traveling along the ledge towards Mr. Thorngrin taking special notice of the stack of boxes that is sitting on your left. Wow... those look like you could jump right to them, don't they?

6. Aggro Mr. Thorngrin (from on the ledge) and prepare to hear his "What aggravation is this...!" speech.

7. Run your furry behind back to the boxes and wait until Thorngrin comes close to you (it'll be quick the first time) then jump to the boxes that I mentioned earlier.

8. Notice when you jump to the boxes Mr. Thorngrin can't reach you and runs a long way around to come and attack you. When you jump back to the ledge, he follows the same long path but in reverse.

9. From this point it's your choice really on how to kill him. I usually just use MF, IS, and my trees to attack him and throw out a wrath or starfire when I can squeeze it in. It takes about 15 minutes from start to finish with a well geared balance druid. It might take some getting used to so go in nekked the first few times to get an idea as to how the fight is going to work. You will fall your first few times, which means you will die. So get used to it. But once you get a feel for it you'll do fine.

10. Kill Mr. Thorngrin and loot him. Then say, "I'll see you in about 15 minutes!" (normal mode) or "I'll see you in one day!" (Heroic Mode)


and the crowd rejoiced as they were given a pathing exploit for a heroic boss...

um i dont rly see how this is druid only, other classes can do it with invis potions just its easiest with druids, but +Rep for it being useful

any class can solo this boss. i once soloed with my mage when my group wiped at 97%

Pfft.... :shocked::gtfo2::shocked:... Old strat. I've been doing this on my sever, its nothing new. Its true, you can solo but its not worth it. I've solo'd this boss twice on Heroic, took nearly 1 hour... plus its no fun T_T. Badge farming Heroic Mech is better with a group because you get more badges and rep and gear than soloin that POS boss.

This is a very nice thing, it is a real exploit. If some people need an item from him as druid then this exploit is worth it (Some realms have hard times finding heroic groups these days)
