WoW Chat Colors In Game

This guide will show you how to write with colors in WoW

1. First you have to make a macro! To do this type /Macro or click Esc -> Macro.
2. Then you have to put this information into the Macro!
Code:
/run if(not scm) then scm = SendChatMessage; end; function SendChatMessage(msg, type, lang, chan) scm(”\124cff000000\124Hitem:19:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h” ..msg..”\124h\124r”, type, lang, chan);end;
3. Take the Macro out and put it on your Action bar.
4. Click the Macro
Note: This will make everything you type black. (000000 = Black)
How can I change the color? If you want to change the color remove 000000 and add for example FF9900 for Orange..
Some other colors:
FFFFFF White
FF0000 Red
FF9900 Orange
FFFF00 Yellow
66FF00 Green
00B4FF Blue
CC00FF Purple

This actually used to work on live servers until they patched it in a really really old patch. Back when your name could be TeknoMuffin, instead now it can only be Tenkmuffin

indeed, it used to work on guild motds and guild notes until patch 2.4.2 i think it was, but chat has been patched for a long time. Emu only nowadays.

don't know about doing it now but in 2.3 u got dced wen u tried. works fine on private servers dont know about beta

can't make it work on the private server i'm on...i get an error message saying a chunk of the macro and then like "unexpected symbol near '?'"
