[exploit] The ability to get past mobs without engaging in combat

Hi,

I recently found out that if timed correctly you can 'bypass' most mobs without having to fight them.

1) Get as close as possible without pulling
2) Pull out your ethernet cable
3) Run to your destination (you can run through the mobs)
4) Put your cable back in

If timed correctly, you will not get a disconnect and will find yourself where you moved to whilst your cable was unplugged. I think about 20 seconds is the maximum amount of time you can have it unplugged before it disconnects you and you wont be where you want to be.

Please note, I did a brief search and could not find a similar thread to this, so please do not kill me if it's a repost!

So I got lucky cause I ran past a lot of thrash mobs in karazhan, and on some way we managed to port a lock to me, and someone else. and we summoned everyone to our location.

Pretty sure to the server you run straight from your original point to you're destination, therefore pulling aggro.

Feel free to test it, but I have done this 4 or 5 times now without fail. Think about it, if in the time you pull your cable you have no connection to the server, how does it know how you got to where you did? For all it knows you could have gone round to the right or round to the left and not straight through the mobs.

Any ways.. how do you know were the point is were you dont pull a mob? lal.. if you lvl 35 and wana run though lvl 40 mobs. you would pull like 25 yards away? (idk and idc)

Trial and error I guess. :P

Don't get me wrong, you don't have to be right before you pull the mob, it just gives you more time to get where you want if you do it that way.

Well, that's something individual to your computer and or internet connection. There might be an option to disable it if you root around, however that is nothing to do with WoW itself.

Any way to terminate your connnection for a small period of time will work.
