How to exploit the new arena

Alright, you all probably know that Blizzard came down hard on win-traders and pointsellers in 2.4.2.
Last night i discovered a major glitch in the new system.

To begin with, the new system pretty much follows this law;

• Arenas
  
  • If a character’s personal rating is more than 150 points below the team rating, they will earn points based on their personal rating instead of the team rating.
  • If the average personal rating of the players queuing for a game is more than 150 points below the team’s rating, the team will be queued against an opponent matching or similar to the average personal rating.
  
  

Unfortionaly for Blizzard, this allows for some heavy exploiting.
What you need

1x. Relatively high rated arena team, you will probably need a 1700+ rated team to begin with.
Personally, I bought one at 1730.

1x Friend to help you.

How do you do it?

1. Say you bought a 1700-ish team,
your personal rating should be at 1500. Now invite a friend to the team.

2. Queue up, instead of facing a 1700 rated team, 90% of the time you should meet a team in the 1500-bracket.
There's no shortcut here, you have to beat that team.

3. Upon winning, your team rating should go up from 5-7 rating most of the time, and your personal rating initially climbs 15-20 rating.

4. Keep beating the 1500-rated teams, after 15 games or so, your team rating should be at 1800 and your personal should be at 1670 or something like that.
As yours/your friends personal rating gets higher, it gets harder!
You will face teams of the lowest team members personal rating as long as it is over 150 below the team rating.
So what do you do? See step 5.

5. Have your friend leave and rejoin the team, he should be at 1500 personal rating,
that means you will now face 1500-rated opponents again
. Start playing with him and repeat 1-5.
Eventually your personal rating will even out with the team rating, last night I got to 1850 personal and team rating following this routine.
And all along I was fighting 1500-1600 team.

Questions and answer:

Q: Why did you have your friend leave and rejoin?
That way his personal rating gets reset to 1500, so that you have an anchor to keep you down in the 1500-bracket.

Q: I just tried this and we faced the same team we did the last time! What am I doing wrong!?
If you try this when very few people play, chances are you will meet the same team again. This method is best used
when alot of people play (mondays, tuesdays 4-10pm).

Q:This works, but it gets hard the higher my own personal rating gets, is there a way to make sure I always face low rated teams even as my personal rating climbs?
If you want to get to 2k rating, you will eventually face 1700 rated teams in 2v2 (the average for you and your friends rating if you're at 1900 and he's at 1500)
There is a way to bypass this, I explain below.

Since you face teams equal to all the team mebers average rating, the most efficent way to use this exploit is to buy a 5v5 team, and have four friends help you.
This can be a bit tricky since you actually have to find 4 friends that's willing to play with you for your profit only,
but this will most certainly get you up to 2k+ teamrating and your own personal rating facing ONLY 1500-1600 rated teams.
The only difference is that you use a 5v5 team instead of a 2v2, so still use step 1-5.

yeah we already exploited this last night got a couple guys with greens 2k and even got one guy 2300 for his glad title..

Ok me and my mage friend got 2250 then he left and rejoined before patch. His pr is 1650 and mine is 2238. Can you please tell me how you used this exploit to get glad? =) Because I really dont wanna play 20 games of 2 points a peice then losing 30 points when we hit a warlock druid

i have been to 2100 from my own team, but i lost my partner , and bought a 2300 team from somebody that i just need 15 games for 25% with

yesterday i discovered my personal rating had to be within 100 for title, and got scared

the new patch made me even more pissed, but thanks for this info i will try to figure this out

you will get points from your personal rating and not the team rating

Doesn´t that mean that you wont get Team Rating +, till your personal rating is in the 100 Points Range?
I really don´t know since i died played arena for some weeks, but for me the sentence sound like this.

That refers to weekly arena points. Not rating.

I just got a great idea!


Ok, so they "nerfed" the boosting.
But hey, if you combine this idea with the boosting idea from the other post you have the perfect plan!

Ok, so you get 1 mate to help you.
He got his arena team and you got yours (2v2).

You then get 2x 1500 rating ppl to join each team, one on each.
You make them pay you to boost their rating with 100.

You then use the other trick to join the same arena as your mate.
That way you both get the personal rating and you get money for it!

And ofc after boosting them up to 1600 or something you just get 2 new guys :>

Instead of boosting someones rating to 1600 and then getting new people, isn't it possible to say... get two 2k rating teams for example, invite the other person so they have a 1500 rating and you get matched with 1500 rated teams.. keep doing this till you get the person buying points/rating's personal rating to 1600 for example. Now you'll get matched against 1600~ teams. Have the leader of your team invite an alt/friend to the team, give them leader, leave the team, have them reinvite you. Now your personal rating is 1500 and you can again get matched with teams at the 1500 bracket.

Granted you'll only want to do this if you already have your shoulders/weapon or else you'll screw over your PR by leaving and rejoining the team all the time.

but then you dont get your personal rating up :P
You only boost the noob to 1600, then you inv a new noob and do the same, then you do it once more to fill the team. then wait until reset and then kick the noobs and get the money. if you dont care about your reputation, just kick the noobs onece they got 1600 rating :P
