[Druid] [PvP] Travel Form and Movement Impairing Effects

A VERY USEFUL MACRO FOR ARENA AND OTHER PVP FIGHTS! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Usually when you get harmstrung in Arena or anywhere else, you usually switch out of travel form and get back into it. Well, this always includes a global cooldown and therefore enough time for the warrior to harmstring you again or piercing howl you.
But, there is a way to remove that global cooldown! Now you can press this macro (see code block) to just remove the movement impairing effect and STAY in travel form. (instantly removes Harmstring and you are still at +40% runspeed!)
This is just like the old way of switching between cat and travelform before patch 2.4.

    Code:
    #showtooltip Travel Form
    /cast !Travel form

What this macro does: It casts Travel Form (obviously). But when you already are in the Travel Form it will again put you into a new travel form (of course using mana) and removes all movement impairing effects!
Bind the Macro on any Key you usually have Travel Form binded on.
    Much more fun in Arena

So instead of clicking Travel form button twice you click it once? Not an exploit. Working as intended.

I have a macro that enabled either Travel Form, Swift Flight Form or Aquatic Form whenever it is possible to enter that form.

It pretty much does the same as your macro (instant switch from form to the same form).

But even with that it's impossible to run from even one rogue spamming attacks with crippling poison or warrior's who're just spamming damn harmstring. :/

Switching out of travel form means cancelling an aura, not any gcd involved.

edit: oh and reshifting has been already patched a while ago and is an intended change. /cast !Travel form is only to cast travel form when u actually can cast travel form and not accidentally shift into caster while reshifting ( getting stunned and pressing the macro does that somehow)

Really good tip. Thank you. For all of the trash we get posted here this is one of those rare threads I can look and come away with something useful from.

I'll try this out tomorrow, if I get on. Luckily, I'm a druid... this will probably fail.

You can use a single macro for all forms. This is what I use:

    /cast [stance:1] !Dire Bear Form(Shapeshift)
    /cast [stance:2] !Aquatic Form(Shapeshift)
    /cast [stance:3] !Cat Form(Shapeshift)
    /cast [stance:4] !Travel Form(Shapeshift)
    /cast [stance:5] !Swift Flight Form(Shapeshift)

(Note that if you have tree form or Moonkin form the stance numbers will change)

I keep that macro in a convenient spot because it's useful for a lot of things; as well as escaping snares it resets my rage to 10 when I'm tanking or energy to 40 in cat form.
