Avoid dmg caused from Rocket Boots

I just found this out today, while doing some of the new dailys. Apparently changing boots during the duration of the rocket boots extreme speed buff removes it. So if you use the boots and wait until a millisecond before the buff wears off and swap boots you can effectively not receive dmg from it

This is useful to myself as a rogue especially because I can activate the boots then stealth and just change my boots before the buff wears off and not be taken out of stealth. 300% stealthed speed for 4 seconds is pimp for getting a cheapshot off on that flagrunner up ahead in wsg

Just as a sidenote, if you use the boots FROM stealth, it removes the stealth buff from you!(For all those who dont already know.)


As you can see from the screenshot combat log, i gained the buff, then gained stealth, then lost the buff and took no damage (Note: I have a small deficit in my hp in the screenie just from the stam difference of my regular boots and the rocket boots.)


Hopefully some of you guys will enjoy this little tip, I figured it was time to stop being a leecher!

Ya. Look at my thread link that Hbm just gave you.

On that note, Hbm, I actually like the damage. It's an amazingly effective method of breaking CC if you have no other way to stop it. Use the boots right before that Mage polymorphs you, and not only will you be right beside them, but Polymorph is now useless.

most definitely man I still use them for 2v2 and 3v3, setting a mage to focus target and using them right before a sheep = pro
kinda the same principle as a priest SW;D ing himself except with a mega easymode buff duration lawl.
