Hello,
I was curious if it was possible to have a private server installed ( 2.4.3) with out messing with the live version (4.0.6) on the same computer. Or is that not possible?
Hello,

yes it is possible Just download a 2.4.3 client and you can start playing it
It's possible, just download and install it to a seperate location.
To clearify what Aldun said. Install wow all over again, then only patch to 2.4.3 via this website:Blizzard Support , then copy the World of Warcraft Folder and paste it on your desktop. It will now give you access to patch the Desktop wow without updating the original wow with 2.4.3 patch.
Thanks for the help guys ^______^

no way to go around re-installs?
Reinstalling is the only known depatching way. Unless someone else knows how to do it without reinstall then no, you need to reinstall for it.
If i do it this way:
" To clearify what Aldun said. Install wow all over again, then only patch to 2.4.3 via this website:Blizzard Support , then copy the World of Warcraft Folder and paste it on your desktop. It will now give you access to patch the Desktop wow without updating the original wow with 2.4.3 patch. "
id still be able to have a live version as well?
edit: sorry, im new to this. haha

Yep, they will be 2 seperate wows with 2 seperate Realmlists. Just don't edit the original Realmlist before copying the Wow folder to the desktop. Wow patches using the Realmlist.
Those errors are telling you that your warcraft shortcuts will be overwritten.
