    What would be some good WoW Private Server GM Tools?

    We already have the LUA ingame comand Based tool

    But give me some other ideas like

    1. A Ban Report System
    ( Staff Can see the Ban People, Why they got banned, Who banned them and what not )

    2. Whois IP Look UP Information
    ( Detailed Information About the Person IP info )

    3. Technical Support Part
    ( Any ideas ? )

    And Give me some more ideas please

    On my PvP server project, i've created an administrative record system. It's too specific to my core to be ripped easily, however.

    Sort of similar to your first idea.

    Essentially you have:

    .record lookup account [account name]
    .record lookup character [character name]
    .record add [account name] [record type] [message]

    Upon looking up someone's record you get something like this:

    Code:
    [2-14-10] [Punishment] [Automatic]: 72-hour suspension.
    [2-14-10] [Warning (10)] [JoeTheGM]: Don't waste GM's time.
    [2-14-10] [Ticket]: i want gm
    [2-11-10] [Warning (10)] [Eradicator]: Do not waste the GM team's time with tickets that are clearly against the rules.
    [2-10-10] [Ticket]: give me gold

    Very Nice IM going to assume

    This Commands Are Basically Through a custom script as you stated and primarily using a lot of SQL as well to pull Data from the Banned Information inside the Database.
    Or is this being recorded through via a .txt file somehow?

    See what i was going to do was very VERY detailed about this

    use a .exe software not a LUA script

    Will Either use

    Delphi,C++,VB.net

    And just hook in a Connection from and to the remote database

    and pull a lot of information for example

    2 Accounts in Database

    1 = Admin
    2 = GM

    <gm> has banned RAWR for: no reason

    ^ Gets stored in the DB
    |
    Admin clicks on Check Banned Reasons Log
    |
    SQL Statement to get data from Reasons
    |
    Prints Data On the Screen

    Something like that far as coding wise but also add Admin options and user rights with more options more than a GM.

    Show many banned users there are
    Show how many banned users will be unbanned in so in so time
    Show how many banned users are perma

    Show how many banns today
    Show how many blah blah blah today

    It was done in C++ by modifying the TrinityCore world server. It uses a custom SQL table in the authentication database.

    Records are stored in that table. As you might have noted in the example I showed, I also created a warning system. Once you reach certain amounts of warning points a punishment is automatically incurred. These warnings are saved in a separate table. The warning system will automatically add an administrative record when a punishment is incurred.

    Very Nice This would be really great to do as well somehow possibly add a record to scan those same type of logs and then print them onscreen via the software

    I like this idea and will most defiantly add it
