    ad.exe map extractor problem

Hello, I keep having a problem while running ad.exe it crashes everytime it gets to mapid 566 NetherstormBG. I ran the repair.exe but that didn't work, I have a few installations of WoW and it seems to stop on different parts on them. For example on patch 3.0.8 it crashes on NetherstormBG and on patch 3.0.9 it crashes on Nagrand.
I am thinking reinstalling might fix it but before I sit through all that I wanted to ask and see if there might be another way to fix this. I also wanted to know if there is a way to start ad.exe on later file so I don't have to start from the beginning each time? Thank You

It crashed in the same spot again, the vmap extracter also crashes at a certain point. I am going to try reinstalling the game and see if that fixes it. I found download with all the maps for patch 3.0.1. Will those maps work for a 3.0.8 or 3.0.9 repack? If not is there any way to extract or convert the .bin files created by ad.exe so I can get the map files and put the in the .mpq file?

I had a problem like that as well, are you using a repack? If you are, which repack?

Also I could throw my maps folder up if you want, my server is up and running fine so I know my maps are good.

had the same problem, just cut "expansion.mpq" from the data folder somewhere temporarily.
then run ad.exe with maps in the wow folder, and it will work. (it still gets the maps for expansion 1 -TBC somehow)

Having this same issue, did you ever get it fixed?
Not sure why I've never had this problem before but I've tried everything I can think of it seems.

Fahim123 I even tried to cut the expansion.mpq temporarily and Ad.exe crashed even faster.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I fixed my problem, I used a map extractor that came with Shadowdark's Mangos Repack.

I'm not sure why I couldn't get ad.exe to work even when I tried the one Jackthripper suggested.

Anyhow, my problem is solved and if you haven't got yours fixed yet I hope this helps.

Well then you fail because mangos uses .map files and arcemu uses .bin files for maps, so it's not going to work. Your server may be running perfect, but your not going to pvp flag right, and you'll get other problems later.

You must use an ASCENT map extractor if your using arcemu or else it won't work.
