MYSQL Help + Rep For any help

I am a bit confused about msql in general

Any Links, advice etc is greatly aprecitaed +rep of course, thanks so much for reading!

I have mysql in the repack i downloaded, 7-11's repack, and it also has a stopper that you enter in your pass when mysql shuts down or is shut down wrong to restart properly.

First off when running mysql without that will it be just as simple to shut down that tool the stopper really isn't needed ? correct?
I would just type in the cmd window of mysql window ?

Also I run wamp which i was useing just for my website ( that isn't even working anymore lol, as well as reg page etc. ) This has Mysql In it .. ? Right? so when i download a repack i can just use the mysql that is inside wamp and also connect it up to work for website as well as server, Correct ?

    Thank you so much~!

Well if i get you right.. No you wont be needing the stopper tool if your going to run it off you own MySql instance, witch i do reccomend.
And honestly i dont know about Wamp but i dont think that will work, i mean how do you acces the MySql in your winamp? (To add stuff to the DB)

I dont know if this helped you i just confued myself the more i wrote.

Yes, in your task manager find a process called "mysql-nt" the name of the process can vary.

    ok so..

Thank You + Rep To You Both This is very much apreciated any and all help understanding all this well is Greatly apreciated ~

OK sooo I can close down the Mysql manuel (gonna have to fiddle around with it as i am not sure where you are directing me too)

and wamp i was useing fro the website it has a few programs all mixed together in one folder basically : here is the definition:

"WAMP" is an acronym formed from the initials of the operating system (Windows) and the package's principal components: Apache, MySQL and PHP (or Perl or Python). Apache is a web server, which allows people with web browsers like Internet Explorer or Firefox to connect to a computer and see information there as web pages. MySQL is a database manager (that is, it keeps track of data in a highly organized way). PHP is a scripting language which can manipulate information held in a database and generate web pages afresh each time an element of content is requested from a browser. Other programs may also be included in a package, such as phpMyAdmin which provides a graphical interface for the MySQL database manager, or the alternative scripting languages Python or Perl.

So you see mysql is inside wamp

But if you do have WAMP, you will need to stop it's MySQL daemon (mysqld) and then make sure you start the MySQL server from your repack all the time and every time you start your computer.
    Also, port forward these ports: 80, 3724, 8093, 8129 .

I already have a repack and wamp running I was curious If I "could" use the one in wamp for any repack i may switch to etc. But as it seems most just use the one in thier repack then ? Not useing the one in wamp to run the server then ? Thanks for your help all ~!+Rep:wave:
