[MaNGOS] Can't connect to world server via LAN menu

    [MaNGOS] Can't connect to world server via LAN

    I've torn the forums apart trying to find an answer to the situation I find myself in, but haven't had any luck. I have my MaNGOS server up and running, and I can log in. I've followed all the directions for setting it up to go public, but my other PC gets stuck at the same point.

    It connects, authenticates, and logs in just fine. I pick a server, and the realmlist shows up. I select the realm (called simply "MaNGOS") and it it brings up the server list...again and again. What would one need to do to work past this issue?

    You have a problem called: Realm Looping! i had it to on my very first server (MaNGOS also). Unfortunately fixing it is not as easy as it sounds. For me all i did was download AC Web repack. i would suggest that. If you still want to work towards fixing it, reply, although the easiest solution is just download a Ascent (Arcemu now? is it?) repack
    Ascent (or whatever it is now) is a lot better than MaNGOS

    I'd like some help getting it working on MaNGOS, even if it is complicated- mostly because I'm familiar with MaNGOS, and am a control freak (ie, I want the world to be mine, not the designer of a repack's). Thanks!

    well let me just start with more about repacks first: if you get a repack, open the database, just add NCDB blizzlike, the world will be identical to blizzards
    But more about Realm Looping!

    You should ask on Mangosproject, there are more experienced mangos users there.

    What's the IP in your realmlist table? And your realmlist.wtf file (on the computer you're trying to connect with)? This is usually the problem that cause realmloops and are not hard at all to fix. One solution you can do is have two realms in your realmlist table if you want to connect with both server computer and lan computer. One with 127.0.0.1 and one with your lan IP (usually something like 192.168.1.10).
