This is one amazing piece of work, great job! I don't use MaNGOS too frequently but this makes swapping between both types of servers much easier

And btw, everyone should stop asking for the author to convert it to Ascent, he supports MaNGOS and likely won't go through the trouble of making the addon work with Ascent commands and message outputs for an emulator he doesn't like. :P

    MangAdmin r115 released

Hi All, lazy noob leecher iotech here. I am one of the devs on the MangAdmin project. Many thanks to Dythzer for mentioning MangAdmin here!!!

I released r115 today, which includes a few new features since r111 (linked in the OP's post.)

re: Ascent support - I *might* be willing to take this on this winter *if* one of you kind folk could point me to the sources and a *compiled* win32 setup and any supporting instructions. I am not interested enough in supporting Ascent to warrant compiling it myself. Lazy? Maybe, but support for Ascent is not high in our priorities. In fact, I am the only dev on the team remotely interested in it.

re: WotLK support - MangAdmin *should* work with WotLK if one update the Interface version setting in MangAdmin.lua. I have suggested this to some folks before, but none has ever returned to tell me if it worked or not.

re: crashes or mysterious behavior - Post a thread on our forums at (sorry, cant give you the link since I am a lazy noob leecher - do a google on MangRound) and myself or one of the other devs will try to assist.

Thanks for all the positive feedback in this thread; we have lots more changes coming, bug-kills and many new features!

    r117

Brought it up to r117 today:

    Rev. 117:
    * [UPDATE] Updated German localization. (Thanks Yoshi!)
    * [UPDATE] Updated Dutch localization. (Thanks Korhal!)

    Rev. 116:
    * [FIX] Fixed teleport_target_position table reload (thanks Klark20!)
    * [FIX] Fixed .quest add command in Quest list (thanks Klark20!)

    Rev. 115:
    * Major changes to Teleport tab, dividing all teles into 1. Continents/Types, then 2. Zone, then 3. Subzone
Have seen some odd behavior when scrolling the lists. If you see this and have a fix, please submit!!
Much work remains to be done in TeleportTable.lua to fully support this rev. Should be done with next rev.

    3.0.2+

Sadly it appears not. Our project owner (coincidentaly) posted about this today. It appears that ACE2 may not be compatible with 3.0.2. *If* this is the case, it could be some time before MangAdmin supports 3.0.2 cores. We have started work on converting MangAdmin to ACE3, but this will take... a while.

    3.0.2

Ok... I am going to patch my test machine to 3.0.2 and set up a seperate server for testing. If all goes well, I will begin seeing what exactly has to be done to port MangAdmin to 3x clients.

Any recommendations for cores? The one put out by FreezedB looks good, well documented, etc.

One of my addons uses Ace2 and works fine with 3.0.3. Have you updated to the newest version of Ace2? I remember having issues with old libraries a little while ago, though to be honest I did not use Ace very extensively, what I really wanted was Dewdrop. What errors are you getting when trying to run it on 3.0.2?

    3.0.2

So, I created a test server with the 3.0.2 stuff. Other than not being able to convert pre-existing characters to work on it and transports not working, it runs stable.

Verified that MangAdmin will not run on 3.0.2 client. Updated all dependencies in MangAdmin to newest (Ace2, Dewdrop, etc).

MangAdmin throws an error generated from AceOO about an inappropriate table mixin.

    *sigh*

Since I am very impressed with the new content in 3.0.2, I want to go live with it, but my players will rebel if I tell them they lose their characters in the process. So, if I can find a 3.0.2 version that will read my 2.4.3 characters, I'll go live with it (I can live without transports). If this happens, I'll start the overhaul of MangAdmin.

p.s. I also installed the newest version of Arcemu/Ascent. Every time I log onto it, it shuts the server down and logs that the logging character initiated the shutdown with a server info query. Wow. Sticking with Mangos.

    Good news!

I have it working under WotLK 3.0.3/9095!!!

I need to clean up the interface some, and fix a few things but it loads and most functions still work.

I will announce a complete version and provide files on the official board later this week. See the forums at manground dot org for more info and a scrrenshot!

Please note, r119 linked above, is for 2.4.x clients. I have not yet released the 3.0.x flavor yet.
