Make your server public with Hamachi

My friend is trying to connect to my server. And I can connect just fine and all. He has all of his ports open and all that, and it just does the "Logging in to game server, realmlist... logging into game server... realmlist" thing. Is there anything that I could do to check to see if there's something more we need to do? 'Cause with this error, I don't know of anything to do. If anything, I really can't just connect.What do I do? Please help!

Please, can someone tell me how i make my friends GMs? Like, with commands or something? It's an Ascent server.
