connection failed due to `unknown host 11004` host
what I do?
Well First off this is a really good guide, at first I had problems so i just used a different computer to compile it. So +rep
Also When I start up WoW, and create a character basically the character isnt showing up in character database and its not showing on char screen :S Any help would be appreciated
Straw - I am also expierencing this problem, I have a feeling its to do with database compatibility. Im sure there is someway to fix this but im not in a logical mood (:
I worked it out kiev, Basically in your arcemu trunk folder (the core) then in sql folder theres I think its character updates folder
basically in there there are 2 sql's called [random number] - characters Well You need to run both of these in heidi or navicat.
However I am using a different database to this guide (whydb)
Haha i came back on today just to tell you that , I had already worked it out last night but was so busy because i had to help my friend learn how to make items (Pulls hair out!) that i didn't get the time to come back , Ill still give you a +rep for working it out (Y)
Thanks very much and I wish you luck with your whatever your doing
Good job Straw, People have been asking me about that and i have been unable to provide them with an answer, Added your post with credits ofc
Thanks Straw I was having the same problem and your fix worked perfect. Very nice tutorial CimSlunt. Could you tell me were to go to edit the "you can write stuff here" in the MySQL and Apache windows?

Winkdog im not 100% sure on that how ever i would imagine its some were in the core edits, im unable to have a look now as im on a diff system and dont have any of the files.
winkdog, right click the mysql starter thingy file and you can write stuff there. Save it and it will show whenever you start it up
Edit: What I wrote didnt make sense did it!
Go to the folder with the mysql / apache thing > right click either mysql or apache > edit > Write stuff in the notepad it should open > save > Done
