[Guide] How to Make AC Web Ultimate repack 7.8 Public!

How to Make your Private Server Public! ( using AC web with arcemu!

First, Go to Start > Run > cmd
And typ in : ipconfig
You will see Defaultgateway : 192.168.x.xxx
THAT one we need!

PORT FORWARDING!

- Ok, we start to forward the ports:
( thats why we needed the Defaultgateway ip! )
8085 TCP
6112 TCP
3306 TCP
8129 TCP
8093 TCP
8050 TCP
3036 TCP
80 TCP
6881-6999 TCP
3724 TCP

NOTE :: this is when u have a router. else u might forward the ports with your firewall software.


Ok, time to get a DNS! go to DynDNS: DNS Hosting, Email Delivery and Other Services
Create an account,
Log in,
Go to > My services > My hosts > add new hostname

Hostname : anything u want
click wildcard on!
Host with ip adres
- ( click auto detect ip! )
And then create host
now remember the Dns we have to use it in our next step.








CHANGING YOUR HOST CONFIG!

If your running on Windows XP:
Click start, and then run. Type in: C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts and click "Ok".

If your running On Windows Vista:
Click start, and then type in "run" in the search box. Hit enter. Run will come up, type: C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts and click "Ok".

Open it with notepad.

 YourInternalIp    yourdyndns

YourExternalIp    yourdyndns

127.0.0.1         yourdyndns

- External ip u can find it here : What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Internet Speed Test, IP Info, plus more
- Internal ip is the Defaultgateway ip! ( look above
- Your DNS that you just created remember

Now Lets Config Our files!

Go to : C:/AC WEb ultimate Repack 7.8/Ascent/Configs


- Open Arcemu - Realms
- Scroll down to the bottm till you find this :

 <Realm1 Name = "AC Web Ultimate Repack"
        Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
        Icon = "PVP"
        Population = "1.0"
        TimeZone = "1">

- Change the RED to your DNS!

Now go to your WoW folder and change your REALM to your DNS !


DONE !

NOTE: I DID THIS GUIDE BY MYSELF, I DID NOT COPY THIS! HAVE FUN!

Actualy..You do NOT want wildcard.

OH AND ALSO
7.8 is arcemu..Not ascent =]

yeah, lilsluger, if yours is at the login screen, just hit cancel, it should go to realmselection. my prob is that i get in to realmselection, pick the realm and it sits saying connected? any ideas?
Also i can not get Ascent-Realmserver.exe to work. and Yes 7.8 has Ascent
