[GUIDE] Fixing Random Server Crashes and having to press enter repeatedly

Im assuming this applies mostly to people who have set up their servers using Repacks although if someone who has compiled their own tries it and it works please post that in a reply here..

Well i had problems with my server and characters were randomly crashing on them using certain abilities.. I searched on the available forums for a solution here and a few other WOWEMU sites.. Found very little information...

So heres what i did..

I went to WWW.AC-WEB.ORG and clicked the Downloads section..
Went under Tools and Downloaded the DBC extractor utility.

Used it on my "Enus" File in Warcraft Directory under the DATA folder and extracted a Current DBC folder from the version of Wow i was playing with..

Also im not sure why but when i change the Default log settings in logonserver and worldserver to Debug.. it stops me from having to press enter 1 million times as well.. but if i change it back boom i gotta press enter tons..

pasted it into my Ascent Server folder Overwriting the one that came with the Repack.


It has been two days and havent crashed since..

To be quite honest im not exactly sure why this fixed it. Im assuming that its because the DBC files from the repack were from a different version then i was using to play and some of the information was different causing errors and crashes.

ALSO since i did it i no longer have to press Enter Repeatedly to log in on my computer unless i log out of a GM account instantly and try to log in immediately after loggin out ( im assuming the delay from the instant camp on GMs accounts causes it to delay allowing me to Log back in)


Anyways i am in no way responsible for the programs ive mentioned here.

Just though i would post a guide informing people of how i got rid of my Crashes and realmloops..
