[Guide]: Make two+ realms with different characters.

How to get two different realms!
(With different characters in each! omg )

BEFORE YOU BEGIN, IMPORTANT: I have not actually tested this, I'm just guessing that it will work. I'm pretty experienced with ascent. But could someone please confirm with me that this actually does work?

Okay, lets get straight into it:

Step 1: Create a folder in your ascent folder called realm2 or something.

Step 2: Copy logonserver.exe, logonserver.conf and all the .dll files into the realm2 folder (From your ascent folder).

Step 3: Create a new table in your SQL Database in navicat and call it logon2.

Step 4: Right-click on the logon table (not logon2) in navicat and press 'Dump SQL file". Save it somewhere.

Step 5: Right-click on the logon2 table (not logon) in navicat and press 'Execute Batch File' then find the .sql file you just saved.

Step 6: In your realm2 folder, open logonserver.conf and find:

               Username = "root"
               Password = "ascent"
               Name     = "logon"
               Port     = "3306"
               Type     = "1">

Step 7: You're done! To start your server, you will have to run both logonserver files.

AN ADDITIONAL NOTE: You will have all your characters from the other realm, just delete them and your done.

PS: Sorry this guide is so breif, I'm a busy person and I figured I wanna get this guide posted before someone else beats me to it.

PSS: Again, please let me know if it does or doesn't work, I haven't actually tested it. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE EXCEPT FOR 5MB OF SPACE WHICH YOU CAN EASILY GET BACK!

yes you need to change teh database name in the ascent - world.conf and in teh ascent-logonserver.conf

Btw this wont work.
Character data is stored in ascent-world.config.
Having two logonservers would just be 2 different servers.
If you wanted different characters per realm, you need 2 Ascent-world.exe's running, where each config pointed to a different character database

Also, you cannot have more than one Account table.

if you make a copy of logonserver you dont have 2 realms but 2 servers...
you can make 1 server with a realmlist of 2 realms or more easely...
1 logonserver.exe
x asent-world.exe
where x is the number of realms you wnt... make them all connect to same logon and seperate the charDBs and done

Yours isn't tested, doesn't work; and therefor not useful.
