I need some help with Compiling

Ok guys i checked many compiling guide.. and i dont understand most of them .. the only thing i wanna compile for is to enable the lua scripts.. and maybe level cap to 75..but anyway i wanted to know 1 thing ... why in the hell when i open ascentvc90 (svn that i downloaded from viter guide) a window called 'choose application' appear but its empty , there no application to choose from = i cant open the file... i use this guide http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...le-ascent.html ....sorry if my explaination sucked and my english too .. i can try to explain it a little bit better if needed...
