Excess spawns when noone is around? MUST SEE!

This Thread is the record of what occured during my brief and unfortunate, but at the same time unfortunate encounter wit illidari, a Hacker who derives sick pleasure from entering your server, and spawning insane amounts of mobs and gameobjects to lagg and kill your server.

Never Heard of Illidari? Well One of his best known attacks was WoW_Legend's server, which he killed. I wasnt personally there, but check the sticky

He ussually attacks all GM servers where The Admins will ussually look like one of the players is spawning the mobs.

My server everyone had teleport power, but the ad that my coAdmin made said "all-GM" . That was the lure.

Once he enters, he starts spawning hundreds of raid bosses in the emerald dream, Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Ironforge. ussually also a rag at entrance of stormwind.

*King Gordok
*Nefarian
*Onyxia
*Archimonde

How can you tell hes checking out your server? a ragnaros at top of Mt. Ironforge.

Its not just from reading I know him, ive been GM or Admin on 4 servers He's attacked, I was assigned to figure out what was going for the first time in SveininGos Beta server.

INGAME-

Just then as he logged out, i noticed around 400 "King gordok"s spawning next to me, in the center of the oprc barracks. suddenly I started spamming my delete macro and "tab" thinking it was some GM's Prank. so I Started Deleteing after I banned a GM that was banning other players at will. then I noticed that it was still happening, I unplugged the internet cable to my computer and sent a phone call to co-Admin, leaving server on for deleteing later, a HUGE mistake.

Phone call, about 7 Pm EST
[Me]: Hey dude, I just banned vagrant but mobs are still spawning ingame... It wasnt a GM, or a hacker. This is a new one, worse than the account joker.

[Dog6611]: Hey you should umm like contact one of the Emu Specialists with more Xp...

[Me]: Ill check if I can find anyone online...

[dog6611]: Naa, i can get him on MSN.

[Me]: K. tell him that a hacker got something in... that it keeps spawning even after i disconnected internet

{this is where i Remembered Sveiningos and Deathwow. now I really thank the two of you for letting me investigate your incidents while ingame. wouldnt have figured i out.}

Me- He killed Deathwow. and Sveiningos beta. thats why sveining went not all GM, we thought it was a player,same on Deathwow.

Me- Ill have to keep server down till i can find prob.

{Just then I started one scan with Ad-Aware, one with Symantec, and one with Norton, and started disc clenup, Ad-Aware picked up a little bot along with some onther goodies. this bot is Illidari's method of spawning, it taps into your ascent.exe or antrix.exe to spawn the creaures.

To stop this, just do a spyware/virus scan and hope your scanner can pic it up, otherwise copy+paste acent+logon+realm confs and paste into a new repack, and dont sad ur serv as all GM.

For those who have lost their servers mid investigation by me, truly Sorry.

Excused. I Second the Motion. and im glad he wasnt able to finish the job and watch GMs search for someone who isnt ingame. thank god for GMcommand logs. and May he Smite illidari, and may this guide let others foil him as did I.

This kid is a huge menace...Its said hes 13...I just wonder why most servers he targets are off MMOwned... I dont understand why he doesnt go for places like WoWScape or BurningWoW where it'd have a bigger effect...Is he like an ex MMOwner or at least does anyone have a background story on this guy?

No Idea, As for him being 13, im 13, but hes on a whole new level of maturity. about -20 years old maturity...

He got on an account he made just to gloat.

its just insane. he takes pranks to a whole new level, makes me aspire to be better than him, but also hate him for what we did... just getting my serv back up.


Guess he Never thought that a lowly Newbie to server administration on public servers would spot his tricks. Never Underestimate Emu Specialists. Ever.


As for how he does it, he gets into your repack and DB. then sets up a hidden little bot to spawn stuff, on sveiningos his mobs would all spawn in one place, but in deathwow he set up a waypoint system for spawns. on my server i saw something ive never seen before, he was spawning in an almost humanlike patter. rather the bot was, i was fooled till i DCed internet.

Just like any other spyware on a site, just his is more complex and scary. You connect IP's with him, and the bot automatically goes through the port and into the other persons comp, hes a tricky little devil.

And tinker, im 13 too its just that i think its amazing how negative of a life this kid must have to be able to do things like this. I mean theres people with no lives that can do stuff every once in a while but this kid does this 24/7. So he doesnt just have no life at all, but negative.

Anyone have a possible way or idea to set up a booby trap for this booger? =l

something i wonder myself. but however he does it, hes great at what he does. you have to give him credit for it. also for his bots, just thought about it. maybe its a flying npc which uses a preset algorithm to determine its path, and spawns diff mobs along way? just a theory. if anyone gets hit, DC internet and look at end of creature_names table, show A, on SQLYOG.


BTW negativity in your life wont do this. up to now ive had the unnatural talent of having everyone in a new school against me in all 7 schools ive been to for grade school. and my dad snaps sometimes, ive learned to control it though, but still, this kid is on a whole other level past negative. I would share his enthusiasm for these things if i could through away my morality and respect for the people who worked to make these servers.

Yea that applies.........up to a certain point....I dont know who this kid is.... But just hearing the posts on MMowned about him, I hear he's doing this shit 24/7

If he did it once for shits and giggles, he's still considered an *******. But now that he has bots going in and doing this 24/7!!! This is crazy.
