    Arcemu 2.4.3 OpenSource

    Hello,
I have recently salvaged Arcemu at the last stable revision of 2.4.3 and uploaded it to Github as an open source project: Arcemu-2.4.3.
I am currently in the process of writing guides to help with the download and compilation of the core and the configuration of an Arcemu-2.4.3-based server on the wiki page for the project. Anyone interested is free to contribute.

As of now I have been focusing on bug-fixes and have not yet integrated the scripting extensions into the core. Bug fixes include:
    • Weapon visuals will now correctly be removed for broken weapons (when durability is zero)

    • NPCs will now stop moving when gossip is initiated

    • Right-clicking an item for purchase from vendor is now correctly implemented

    • Buyback tab is now functional

    • Durability loss when resurrecting from a spirit-healer will now be applied to unequipped items in addition to equipped items

    • Repair-all-items will now function correctly

    • When gossip is initiated with a spirit healer, a resurrection prompt will immediately be sent to the client

    • Quest giver statuses will now correctly update upon player level gains

    • NPCs will now move smoothly when chasing targets in combat (must be fixed for ranged/casting NPCS)

    • Swimming upwards is now working correctly (tentative fix, may be removed)

Hello. Sorry if this is an old thread or the wrong section for such things but it seems to me like a good place to ask a few questions. I'll try to divide this post in multiple categories:

Little tale about how I ended up here:
Few days ago I downloaded an ArcEmu 2.4.3 repack, configured it and got it up and running, no prob. Also, I have a nice Lua knowledge and I thought I could play around. And I found out about LuaHypArc and those exciting features that it has so I downloaded LuaHypArc too but then I realised I could not compile the Lua engine without the source code of the ArcEmu core itself. So I checked up ArcEmu's official website and tried to follow their guide (arcemu wiki) and it everything went smoothly until I realised the source code that I had just compiled was for 3.3.5a (the only version that they are currently supporting).

    Things I have already did/tried:
And that's how I ended up searching for the source code of the 2.4.3 version of ArcEmu. I bumped into this post and tried to follow the wiki (that decrypt provided) but it seems to me that either the guide or the core is somehow outdated. Because the guide asks me to find certain directories which are not in the folder "Core" that I downloaded... Anyways I tried to compile it and it had lots of errors. Then I moved everything in different locations because the errors told me something about that but then there were another errors... I just couldn't compile it.

    The question/issue/whatever
Given the above facts I was thinking you guys could help me out, I mean... Give me some indications about what I should do with the Core folder that can be downloaded from github or if I should install anything else... or what I could do to be able to compile it. Or maybe you know some other source from where I could get the code?

    The end...
There's no need for me to say how much I'd appreciate it since I've been waiting for a really LONG time to compile my very own 2.4.3 arcemu server. A skype/y!m id or e-mail address would also be very helpful if anyone thinks he could offer any assistance.
And yes, this is my first post on MMOwned/Ownedcore but I've had this account for a while... I hope that's not gonna be a problem, though it might be.
Anyways, thanks in advance for any help. I'll keep an eye on this thread. All the best!

a few days I will try to upload arcemu under version 2.4.3.

I have a working version. There is only one problem with the lua engine but I think it can be repaired.

So you have to wait a little, now you're a little busy.

ArcEmu was bad at the time but the best there was. Now there is better, you should use it. See other emulators such as Mangos branches of 2.4.3.
