Funserver
Blizzlike high rates
Blizzlike normal
Blizzlike Custom ( new starting places, quest lines, instances )
Which one would you rather play on ? This struck me when i was developing my server. If people would actually want to play this or not.

Idk. Probably all of the above if they are decent.
I live in a shoe
I just hope most people think like that.
Fully customized deathmatch server. Where there's always something going on, custom sounds spouting by the second, and you will never be bored

Blizzlike Custom ( new starting places, quest lines, instances ), funner to make too.
I agree with GastricPenguin. The key is to keep the player interested, and the problem with a lot of the server types is they don't' do that over a period of time.
At the Blizzlike Custom, that is a great idea. The problem is you get 2 or 3 months into development (or sooner), get sick of the project, and desert it.
Anything with battlegrounds and world PvP is something I'd play on.
I think that if possible, you should have multiple realms:
- Blizzlike realm in which you try and make it as much like retail as normal
- Instant-60 PvP server in which you get XP for PvP kills
- Raid server in which you have infinite money and get loads of XP while in a raid (and no XP while outside of raids)
1. Blizzlike Realms are the hardest to maintain
2. Not that hard to make
3. Not hard to make, but why would you want infinite money *confused*
Haha yeah. I didn't mean to rain on your parade but I've tried it before, and I was sick of it like a day later xD
