    Challenge - Make something unique!

Every day I check the forums and in the Emulator Releases section all I see is releases of Lua Teleporters/Simple bosses.

I challenge anyone that knows Lua to create something `Unique` and release it. It may be a boss, or a teleporter, but there has to be something special about it.

One bonus of doing this is that you will probably gain a hell of a lot of reputation. Most high-rep'd users look for things that are unique and useful; so get cracking!

I myself will rep anyone that comes up with something that makes me smile.

Nice to see all the replys . I'm sure many people WANT to create unique scripts, but it may be lack of knowledge, busy schedule or a variety of things.

For myself, It's lack of time plus a hint of boredom.

I agree there's a small amount of decent content anymore. Most releases are repacks, teleporters, precompiled cores, reposts of databases, and in general anything thats been released in one form or another. Occasionally you see a city or something, but it just looks like they threw a bunch of GO's together. We need more releases that are akin to how awesome it was to see the special instance-type event in the retail death knight starting area. Not exactly like that, but just something that makes you go, "Oh my god that is AWESOME" Instead of another "Oh, i've seen that. Good job."

I think it would also be great to once again see some competence instead of seeing people who always need to have someone else do the work for them. Sure, it provides a way to get rep, or just adds on to the list of things you done, but most will immediately claim it as their own. I don't see a reason why close to 90% of the Emulation community has to have the grammar, spelling, and skill of a fifth grader. (Yes, that turned into a little bit of a rant, but it is a valid point) I know that I myself have not released much, yet that is generally due to being too busy with real-world things that I don't have the time to develop something for the community. Even though that is though, I still compile my own core, convert my own DB, and spawn everything I am capable of doing. And I learned how to do most of this in maybe a week. It isn't hard, and thus I think the lack of unique content stems from people being to lazy to want to create something for themselves and others. On top of this, it IS a little hard to find things if you really need them. I know recently, I have been searching for a decent site as I am not a good web designer other than simple HTML pages. Yet, I found very few.

I guess what it boils down to, is the tools are out there to learn how to funnel your creativity, and post it in an organized manor, yet people choose not to.

Please let me know how you feel about this.
