    this was the solution for my problem :
    open Ascent-logonserver.conf
    find
    Code:
    <LogonServer RemotePassword = "CHANGEME_LOGON or something.."
    edit it to look like this :
    Code:
    <LogonServer RemotePassword = "MMOwned"
    now open Ascent-World.conf Find
    Code:
    <LogonServer DisablePings = "0"
                 RemotePassword = "CHANGEME_WORLD...">
    edit to this :
    Code:
     <LogonServer DisablePings = "0"
                 RemotePassword = "MMOwned">
    save and Close
    now it should work

    I had this same problem. The SQL database info was hard-coded into the Ascent core for one of the versions I was using. Try re-compling the core.
