how does the process of banning work on a server like excalibur or even retail servers?

do they put you on some sort of ban list and ban you later?

on private servers the ban seems to be pretty much instantly
after detection.

If you flyhack and there is a GM online he checks it out for a couple seconds and your Account / IP is banned. If not you will be checked later. Depends.

i never flyhack i just use the teleport for convenience
