Addon Idea/looking for an addon

Hello fellow OC members

Background
After grinding a couple of dungeons for transmog gear I got quite a bit of greens. I put them all in my bank and was thinking if my grinding had awarded anything at all. So I started to check AH if I had anything of value, by manually checking every item, I got bored and gave up.

Idea
So now I turn to you OC, wondering if you have any tips for addons that automatically recognizes valuable transmog items in inventory, bank, alts, guildbank, yeah you name it, anything. If there is not such an addon, does anyone want to make it/help me find a good program to get started with making addons? I got a list of different transmog items and sets that I know are valuable, but manually searching for every item/set is kinda tedious. The list is no secret, it is Elvinelol's list (cred to him for his awesome stream and joy)

You could make an array with all items you consider as valuable and check all item ids of your inventory in a loop

you can use a loop to check every slot of your inventory after you define certain values of items
then you can just sum those up to see how much have you got in your inventory
you dont have to make an addon
a longer macro is enough

get theundermine journal addon or go with TradeSkillmaster 2.0 with the wowcution and setup the tsm app to download new data automagiclly. it adds to your tool tip realm/region values so if its a trash green to de or a rare gem to sell it will let ya know.

Also addons like Auctioneer and Auctionator add the simple feature of mousing over an item to display the AH Value. (After an AH scan of course)
It won't search your bank for the valuables. But at least you would already know during the grinding which are and aren't valuable. Secondly it saves a lot of walking back and forth to the AH to check prices as you can just mouse over them in your bank tab.
