almost every third party program for WoW is grounds for ban. It's just a matter of not being obvious with it. If your WSG team sees you teleporting from flagroom to flagroom capping flags, they'll know something's up. That being said it's hard for Blizzard to prove you weren't just lagging really bad. I've been using this tool for months, and I've never gotten so much as a warning.
By the way for all the monks out there, considering how useful this glitch is for them (lagging rolls flying serpent kicks etc), I dug up one of my posts in an old Lag 7 thread for some useful speed info. I used it to determine how I should travel while I'm questing.

Roll Speed - 303% (110 + 193% from Roll)
Flying Serpent Kick Speed - 440% (110 + 330% from Flying Serpent Kick)

Ok, So, As a Rogue And A Boomie, Where One job it to Cap a Flag and the others Is to Interupt a cap, I Noticed, I think it was ABN, Who Lag capped on me Like 10 Times lol.. And i wanted to return The favor, I Found this and had a few issues with getting it to work.. Finally got it to work After Searching every forum, Post, Site, Etc, That google had to offer. So if your habing issues semd me a PM i might be able to help you ..
SECONDLY, Is anyone else Only able to use the lagswitch once per instance load? Or can you literally use it non stop while the game is running no issues? Mine seems to only work the first time i load WoW and Lag7 , then i start having weird problems, Like, HB Disconnects and wont open fst as normal, I get Stupid Background Programs Not working anymore. And in order for me to get it to work agian, I Must RESTART MY WHOLE COMP and repeat the above process. (Almost like, You just have it on Standby untill the right map comes along and enable it so u can use it that whole "Instaced" PvP. Then onve it hits the loading screen, Bam, No longer works like i explained.
QUESTION!
Has Anyone else had this problem and figured out how to fix it? Is this normal? Is everyone dealing with this ? Please let me know.. From the looks of this thread not one person who had an issue was given help.
Thanks Alot! -Fusion

I could rewrite Lag7. I had started, but got sidetracked and never got back to it because I quit WoW for good. It shouldnt be causing ANRs or crashes. Make sure you dont close Lag7 while it is 'lagging' because it has modified your firewall (basically) and you cant connect without running lag7 and hitting the lag key again.

Can it be 3 seconds or other time set less than 5 sec? Why my lag7 version has a limit for 5 sec?

Apologies for necroing this but do you know who the original creator of this tool is/was? I've just borked my game with it.

No idea who made the program, but if you've permanently disabled your internet on accident (as I have done by exiting the program with the lag tool enabled), you can try re-opening the tool and lagging yourself again. This has fixed it in the past for me, but you might be having a different issue. Could also try running the game repair on the Battlenet launcher under options. Hopefully it helps, good luck man.

I'm sorry for necroing this post once more but since no one knows who the original author of this tool is and since some people are breaking their internet connections with it, I thought I'd share with you how this tool works. For those of you that don't know, Lag7 is built with AutoIT and is distributed as a single executable. I went ahead and decompiled it to figure out how it works. It turns out that it uses IPsec policies to filter out traffic on the ports which WoW uses. See below for the relevant code. Lag7 invokes these commands with "netsh.exe" via a hidden command-line window.
Code:
# First time initialization
ipsec static delete all
ipsec static add policy lag
ipsec static add filterlist lag
ipsec static add filter filterlist=lag srcaddr=any dstaddr=any protocol=tcp dstport=1119
ipsec static add filter filterlist=lag srcaddr=any dstaddr=any protocol=tcp dstport=3724
ipsec static add filter filterlist=lag srcaddr=any dstaddr=any protocol=tcp dstport=4000
ipsec static add filter filterlist=lag srcaddr=any dstaddr=any protocol=tcp dstport=6112
ipsec static add filteraction lag action=block
ipsec static add rule name=lag policy=lag filterlist=lag filteraction=lag
# Called when lag enabled
ipsec static set policy lag assign=y
# Called when lag disabled
ipsec static set policy lag assign=n
# Called when Lag7 is being closed
ipsec static delete all
