[MAC] Setting up Pocketgnome by MacGuy

This guide was created for MMowned, by MacGuy please ask my permission before posting it on.

    Setting up Pocketgnome.by MacGuy

Okay, so you got your new brilliant mac and you want to level your WoW character, but you have this big mid term test that you just have to revise for.

    Look no further!!

So first you want to download the newest update for Pocketgnome at Pocket Gnome - WoW Bot for Mac

Make sure its working for 3.1 !!

First you have to download and install it, then open it!!

Okay, you must now open your wow and log into your Character, for this i will create a new human mage.

Ok Once you are logged in to your character you want to go to pocketgnome and to the tab spells. Once there click Load All!
This will load all the spells that your character has on to pocketgnome.

    Like this

Okay now you have got your spells loaded.

We now want to do the behaviour of what it does in and out of combat. eg Attack, drink

Go to the create behaviour tab and enter the name of this behaviour and hit enter.

Now go to combat and click add rule.

I will show you how i would do it for my level 1 mage

I only want my mage to fireball

    and then drink after.

Okay now we have the behaviour sorted we now need the route in which we want to take.

Go to the routes tab and enter the name of your new route and hit enter.

    After this hit automate route
and this screen will pop up.

Now lets say you want to add a waypoint every 1 yard, this will make it follow your waypoints more accurately than if it was every 2 yards.

Click start recording and run your route.

    Click stop recording when done.
    You now have your route

If you want a corpse run it is basically the same setup procedure.

    Now we are almost done.

    Go to the tab "bot"

And go to were it says combat and click the small cog symbol beside it to get its settings.

This should be easy enough to set up.
As you just tick the boxes.

    Save your combat now.

Stay on the bots tab and select the route you just made and do the same for your behaviour and combat

This is what it should look like once you are finished.

    Woopie we are finished

This guide was created entirely by MacGuy for MMowned.
I have no connection to the making of this bot whatsoever.
    I just really love it

    <3

Someday i would like a forum on mmowned just for Mac Bots
    Its a simple dream

    Hope this helped someone.

Nice...Looks to be in detail, very helpful.
I'm about to try it out.
Is the same detection method used on Windows as OSX? Do you have a better chance of getting away with it on OSX?

I tried to do the pocket~ looks nice,
all things are working well but
doesn't work to add combat in to the behavior list.
what should I do for that?

That's awesome if you can only be detected by players!
    80 here I come...

I downloaded the trial and tried it, I had problems with getting the spells to show. But that was a trial, I just got my Mac setup and WoW installed.
Apparently Blizzard changed the patch process and you have to redownload the game to get the newest patch.
After I installed, it downloads the Blizzard Downloader which wants to redownload WoW.
I don't know, is this a bug or something?

i recently installed wow to my mac also.
eu download link for wow client
World of Warcraft Europe -> Game Client Download
download and decide which versions you would like to install.
It will then download the game and install.
    (takes a long time)
then it will download all the patches.
    (which also takes a while)
    hope that helps a little

Pocket Gnome is a pretty nice bot. I haven't played around with it too much as creating profiles on my laptop is a huge pain, but I would definitely suggest it if you are interested in botting on mac (hell, i think its really your only option for the mac).

Nice tutorial. The only thing we need now, is a Linux bot.
