Good Farming Spot I've Used to Make a Few Million Credits.

Alrighty. Since I'm feeling generous, and no longer really need to farm anymore, I figured I would share one of my farming spots. It's located in Ilum. Map:

Essentially, you are going to be farming ONE mob -- a level 50 Champion, named "Graymane". Located at (754, 1187). He is buried pretty deep in that crevice (not a cave or anything), so if you don't see him at first make sure you go in pretty deep. If you STILL don't see him, he probably was recently killed.

While I know he's a champion, he's actually fairly easy to take down with a decent companion and decent gear. I was able to do it on my sage healer with a mix of blues/epics and a crappily equipped lizard man; in fact, you can even kite him pretty easily if you don't want to use a "tank" type companion. Nothing really special about him -- he has one knockdown he uses from time time, but nothing that should one shot you or anything of that nature.
He has about a 10-15 minute spawn timer, and drops quite a bit of orange level 50 items - guns, armor, lightsabers, mods, etc. etc. He does drop blues/greens as well, so don't get discouraged if you get a few of these in a row -- farming him for about a hour should get you 2-3 level 50 orange items. In fact, what I typically did would kill him in the downtime while waiting for PVP queues. When i was out, he'd be back up and I'd kill him again. If that wasn't enough incentive, he also be humiliated even moreso by scanning his corpse when he dies via bioanlysis and harvested (kind of a sort of t-bagging as it were).

Anyways, I hope this helps some of you. He's netted me quite a bit of cash from the orange items via the GTN - the drops usually net me 25k-100k per item, depending on the mods and the item.

Few changes.


He has a 5 min spawn timer.
After 3 tries relog as he will stop dropping loot and relogging will negate it.
I did him 3 times got 2k cred each time + 1 blue mod and 2 greenies.

Hoping for bit more the next hour rep if it pays off

Most "rares" that I've seen, and looking at some observations from TORhead users, seem to require a relog after the third kill.
I think that's been put in to prevent us from farming them, not like it's stopped us at all though :P
So just remember to relog every few kills when farming.

Can easily solo this guy on my 47 Jedi Guardian ( Tank spec'd ) with Ok-ish gear and Healing companion Doc ( who's using his original gear ).

Did a good bit of farming him the last night. These are what I got

He is on an exact 5 min respawn from when you kill him
He averages at 1928 credits per kill (25 kills) - he didn't drop anything 5 of the 25 times i killed him
In the 25 kills he droped 13 blues, 1 purple
The Purple was a epic 22 armoring modification
All items he drops are level 50.
He Drops schematics and Boots the most from What I have experiance.
Items he drop are a default value between 10-25K credits on the GTN. Unsure how good they sell w

I was rested and got just over 8k experience per kill ( at level 47 ), he has just over 100k health.

2 Orange Light sabers and a orange Helm

2k-3k credits dropped each kill

I can confirm he spawns exactly 5 minutes from the time you kill him.

did farm this mob for several hours yesterday , everything was allright but when i came back today i killed it 6 times only green stuffs... wierddd
