MaNGOSx for Mac

1.First go to this website: MaNGOSx 1.5 - MacUpdate

2.click download now.

3.once it downloads drag the MaNGOSx application to your desktop

4.go to: MAMP 1.7.1 - MacUpdate and download MAMP

5.once it downloads drag the MAMP apllication to your desktop

3. Open MAMP go to options and set the Standard ports for MySQL: 3306. QUIT MAMP

4. Start MaNGOSx then select Setup from the toolbar

5. Click on the download Button to download "MaNGOS Server rev

6. If MaNGOS Server is installed, you can download DBC files, Map and Databse

7.select Options from the toolbar and set the Realmlist to "127.0.0.1".

8. click Start Server from the toolbar. MaNGOS should open in the Terminal.

9.click Options and Run WoW


there you go! ur probly 1 of 100 people that has a private server on their Mac


P.S. make sure that MAMP is in your Applications Folder, if not just drag it there

iv done everything but how do i create accounts?

go to the terminal window that says: mangos-worldd and type in Create *insert username here* *insert password here* then press enter and log in with that account

Been playing Mangos on my old PC, so i know it works GREAT!
Now i've switched to an iMac and decided to use it too there....MangosX its just called.

Found a "MaNGOSx 5235"
Installed and got server,DBC, Maps and all that on GREEN.
Got MaMP installed and started, Both MySQl and Apache on GREEN too.

Now comes the problem:

When i press "start server" button the RealmD goes fine.
But MangosD loads a bit and then gives this error msg.

Been at it for two days, trying to find the problem and solution.
Searched all over the net, and still nothing :yuck:
Found a few post with ppl having the same prob, but just no solution for it.

Im a noob at this MySQL and Database-thing and that stuff, so i was really glad to find MaNGOSx so EAZY to use....except for this ofc

Been on guides reading if i missed something, but like i said, MaNGOS is allready easy to get running and don't require much knowlegde of things to get working.

But this just bugs the craaaap out of me.

Anyone got some help ??

make sure that MAMP is never open when MaNGOSx is or else you will get random errors like that. also make sure you set your Ports to 3306 on MAMP

when i click "set" for the realm list it says. cant find applications/worldofwarcraft/realmlist.wtf
is this because im on a US client?

also in my terminal it says-
Check existing of map file '/opt/mangos/maps/0004331.map': not exist!
Correct *.map files not found in path '/opt/mangos/maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in '/opt/mangos/vmaps'. Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.
