Making a 2h into a 1h

Alrighty, here goes HawjPawj's-all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips guide. Ever dreamed of Dual Wielding Staves, Polearms, or any 2h wep? Well then, I would recommend checking out the opposite sex a bit more, but in the mean time, here ya go:


The first thing you'll need is WoW Database Editor: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/progra...5-01-07-a.html



Okay, now extract WDBE (WoW Database Editor for those of you that are acronymically challenged.) Next, go to a site such as Wowhead: Not soulbound. Share it with your friends!



Find a 2h item that you want to make 1h. When you do, copy the numbers at the end of the address bar to your clipboard. Now, at this point, you have two things you can do. You can either make a new weapon from scratch, or just make a new entry and edit this weapon. I'll be editing a copy of an existing weapon.



So, click the box where it says "Choose Item." Enter the previously copied ID into the BOTTOM field. This will bring the stats of the item you found up.



Now edit it as you wish (if you wish to edit it at all.) The one thing you WILL need to do is change the ID. If this is your first new weapon, choose the ID of 800201, if not, choose the next available ID. So, once the item is all edited, polished, and golden brown, we'll do the fun part: making it one-hand.



Where it says "Class," choose weapon. Under "Sub-Class," choose a kind of weapon that your class can use, and that is ONE-HANDED! I'll be using the example of a dagger, as all (I believe) classes can use them. Now click the tab saying "Miscellaneous." Where it says "Inventory Type," choose "Weapon." Now, we're almost done. Where it says "Item Position (Visual)," choose where you want your weapon to be positioned. I'll choose Staff, as I think having two huge staves strapped to your back is badass.



And you're done! Restart your server, load up WoW, and spawn your weapon (.additem <weaponID>.)
