Upgrading database. +rep for help

Hello,

I am currently running on version 2801. I would like to upgrade to the latest version, BUT i would like to try and keep all the existing items/playeritems/gobjects cause it took me alot of time to set up. I have an adverage of 200+ online at any givin time and it would really upset everyone to lose all there items/gear.

my question is, is it possible to upgrade my database and still have it compatable with my old database? i already have ran all the sql updates from the SVN, but when players log in they do not have any player items.

Can anyone help me?

go to the SQLyog, Navicat or what ever you use, log in, and then right click "ascent" or the name of ur db, and click "Backup Database as SQL Dump" (thats for SQLyog)...after that once you update (and ur db should be emptied)..right click ur db and click "Restore from SQL Dump" and locate the SQL file you made earlier and execute it...voila! +rep if i helped
