Basically, a hex editor lets you view the hexadecimal code in which most save games are compiled/saved. I agree with Relz though Hex workshop is the best by far I have used it for everysingle hex edit I have ever done and it works great. Heres the link for Hex Workshop. Don't wanna end up like me when my friend gave me my first hex editer it was in a MS dos window and everytime I clicked something my computer would make a really weird sound.

Well yes that too. But mostly I believe hackers use this too, I don't know I'm not all that skilled at Hex Editing. But for the last Nogg-Aholic quest I'm pretty sure it has to do with hex editing.

Ok ive read what you guys have said and I still dont get it. what the heck is hex and how do you use the editor.... I know im not very good with this stuff so bear with me.

Think of Hex as a code like C++ (Though not at all as complicated). Hex editors usually translate hex to english because hex is only letters in numbers in groups of two, hex is used in WPE to make items on private servers, idk much else to say about it lol. Anyway, XVI32 > Hex Workshop. Google it.

It just edits the hex values into english and vice versa, you can use it on most games i've played ( private servers ).
