hello:wave: and welcome to, my wow private server guide-
wow ascent server 2.3.0 AC Web (nub edition).
this guide will tell you how to make a wow 2.3.0 ascent server.
this guide is from ac-web just so every nos.

this guide is not complicated at all; the configuration files are set up so you don't have to do configure any files
just so you no; the repack has been made by Jargs, of ac-web.
anyways here are the stuff in the guide:

• Upgraded Ascent to stable 2.8
• Upgraded NCDB to revision 773
• Added Teleporter NPC
• Enabled LUA scripts
• Upgraded website forum to PHPBB 3
• Zul'Aman spawned
• Recall list fixed
• Level cap can now be set in the configuration files
• Lots of other stuff

NOW! on to the guide :P

step 1. download the repack from the following link:
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

step2. open up the file and install it, and the destination folder should all ready be: C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack
by default, if not change it so its like that :P OR IT WONT WORK!

step3. go into the folder which you just installed, and click on:
map extractor enUS - if you play US realms
map extractor enGB-if you play EU realms

Step4. extract it to you're world of warcraft directory.

Step5. run ad.exe (should now be in you're world of warcraft directory) btw this will take about 30min so go and watch T.V for the mean time or something

Step6. when the ad.exe is finished, it'll close it self down on its own. once thats done, go in to you're maps folder (in you're world of warcraft directory) atm, that folder should be loaded with files.
now simply cut the maps folder and put it in you're :
repack folder-ascent .

step7. go in to you're world of warcraft directory and open up a file called realmlist. change EVERYTHING in their and make it look like:
set realmlist 127.0.0.1

step8. go in to you're repack folder; and open up the control panel file, and hit ''launch server''. now 4 windows should pop up.
give it about a minute i guess?

step8.log on to wow with the info:
user name= admin
password =admin

really nice repack im just having one problem i get to connected and it wont move /sigh


i got it fixed for anyone else having this problem go into the logonserver.conf and set it to this <Client MinBuild = "1"
MaxBuild = "9999">

Im extracting AD.exe right now! And also for people that manually patch(I did,had to reinstall so i grabbed the 2.3.0 patch) you want to autmatically chance realmlist to set realmlist 127.0.0.1 or else after patching 2.3.2 will start nearly instantly afterwards since after patches you boot the game,therefore it patches,I could cancel it fast enough :P






THANK YOU!!! This is by far the most noob-proof and easiest ive ever seen in my life. I used to be into these servers a long time ago,and i wanted to get back into making them,and i noticed there was ascent and antrix and i was used to MaNGOS,so i tried antrix. I'm reinstalling WoW for this,so I know itll work,TOO simple :P +rep if i can. Also,I noticed it said that you had A fully customizable Joomla website and PHPBB3 forums? How would I setup that and the stats page thing?

Sorry for DP but also,I remember in order to downgrade(Incase you patched too high) You go to the WoW directory,and inside data you delete patch.MPQ. Does that still work? Because when i delete it and run repair it doesnt redownload it and go to 2.0.x! And the WoW disks are corrupt now,please help! I got this working,and when I left and came back my little dumb**** brother messed on my PC and now its 2.3.2 :'(

WEll it all worked fine but i don't have TBC on my pc and well it says it needs it is this true?

Sorry for DP but also,I remember in order to downgrade(Incase you patched too high) You go to the WoW directory,and inside data you delete patch.MPQ. Does that still work? Because when i delete it and run repair it doesnt redownload it and go to 2.0.x! And the WoW disks are corrupt now,please help! I got this working,and when I left and came back my little dumb**** brother messed on my PC and now its 2.3.2 :'(

this is a self server (non-public) so you cant create a account. username and password is admin

this is only for patch 2.3.0 and i got no idea how to downgrade it >< and you'll have to manually change you're realmlist ALL THE TIME. no matter what.

k well i got everything to work but when i try to log in it says unable to validate game version this may be from file curroption or the interface of another program...dunno what to do..my private server folder is the same as my normal cept for things put it during the guide...but my normal wow works fine but when i try to connect to private server it says that and ya i have all the programs running from the controll running fine
