Here's How to Set it up!

This is very similar to Mafiaboy's Repack, I used his repack as a guide to make my own first repack, therefore I hereby Credit him for giving the the proper guidance in making my first Repack

Assuming you have WinRAR these are the only downloads you should need..

Open up your Repack after saving it, (I suggest saving it to your Local Disk) find the folder inside called ad.exe open it up, find the file that corresponds with the file you downloaded your world of warcaft as, (the version) Mine would be ad_EnUS.exe

Copy and paste the file into your WoW folder (the general WoW folder) make a folder called maps (no caps), run the program, it will now extract the maps from your World of Warcraft allowing players to discover places on the map and for pvp flags to run right. this is important, do not skip this step though it may take a bit long to do.

Now I'm sure you've all set up your MySQL before, setting up a username and password for what will correspond with your database so I will shorten this part up, install it, get your settings right, let it run in the backround now move on to the next step

Which is: OPEN Navicat Click on New Connection, use the same username and pass as your MySQL, leave the port number alone (username should always be root btw) Name your connection whatever you like.

Now Right click your connection name, click new Database and make a new Database called ascent

Now repeat the previous step but instead call this database ascentlogon

This will create a seperate database for your server and the accounts and character information, much better organization

Now, Right click ascent, click execute batch file, now find Nate's Awesome Repack and open the folder called DATABASES and open the "ascent" file, this will take a bit but be patient

After that right click the ascentlogon and execute another batch file, this time execute the SQL file: Ascentlogon.sql This will then create the database in which you will add accounts, ban accounts (naughty), upgrade and refresh them.

Congratulations you've now set up your server!

BUT IT'S NOT READY TO BE PLAYED ON YET!
I'm not going to tell you how to make it public, I dont have the time, and why waste it when there are many many other guides out there that tell you just what to set your conf files as..

I think your pack is missing some files for the server portion. I got it running using the actual mafia repack. The db takes some time to load but it does work.

Lots of hardwork paid off. Good job!

I have this problem, it says "acces denied for user root@localhoost using password yes" (I think it's that) What's wrong?
