Hello. I was going to build a computer, i was wondering what are some good gaming Motherboards and some good Videocards and RAM ammount.

I got some in mind, i would just like to know what you Computer Hardware Experts think i should get.

Unless you're going with a 64-bit OS then more than 2 gigabytes of ram is useless. Go with a e6850 dual core processor and for motherboard... any newer SLI nvidia version . . . with a 8800 GTS for sure. Also for motherboard you could get one of the newest that supports three video cards and stick three 7600 GTS's in there (quite cheap but they're great for duo/triple card'ing).

Thats not 100% true. Sure not a lot of programs can use all four cores at the same time "New games will be able to use them in a big way just look at Alan Wake and the new stuff Valve is doing." . But one of the big benefits of having a quad core is multi-tasking. So there is some thing you have to ask your self when your looking at upgrading to a dual-core or a quad-core and that is. "Do I Want more raw power and fewer apps running? Or less raw power more apps running?"

If your not one to run a bunch of apps at a time and are looking to have your FPS so high your eyes will bleed then go dual-core. If you want to do lots at once and still get good speed "being able to use glider, convert .avi's to dvds and still surf around the net" then go quad-core.

All in all its really up to the end user on what they use there PC for. Either way if you go with a new dual-core or quad-core CPU you wont be disappointed with the results.

For under 1000 you may be able to find some DDR2 5600 or higher - 2gigs should maintain you for a while.

If you wait a bit DDR3 will become more readily available and you can get DDR2 for much cheaper.

If you want a good graphic card for a "normal" budget, I suggest you to buy nVidia GeForce 8800GT (I have it.).

    Pixel Shader 4.0, DX10 compatible and 512MB GDDR3!! RAM.
