[question] WTF with my common file!

Seriously, i begin to be bored about model editing lool. I need my undead female and like there is no patch about that draenei male=>undead female, There is few month i am trying to do it myself.

But there is always the same probleme in common file=> CHARACTER and no way to find "character" so...i cant do my patch. I am in "all file" but anyway, i have all last version of MWS and Modeleditlive.

I asked few guys of this forum but they don't know why...anyone has got an idea? or a patch for draenei male? :P

Make sure you have all files selected in the bottom left corner of MWS.

I am looking for a patch draenei male=>human or undead female, but like there is no patch like that i decided to do it.

But i can't because i have only "CHARACTER" file in common.mpq.And if i havent "character" i can't do any patch...
I was looking for a solution to this problem, like i said i have MWS 0.10.6337 and "all files" selected. So i don't know what is the problem.
I have this problem since month so ...

have you checked your Expansion.Mpq and Patch.Mpq. Maybe the folder will be in there.

That doesn't matter. Just use always CHARACTER instead of character. I've done it myself and it's working... You've got the same textures in it since it's only common.mpq , and common.mpq deals with textures.

Still not working, i did like in the video except for the common file like i have only "CHARACTER".
-> extract in another file all mpq file "CHARACTER, CHARACTER and character in my case)
->delete useless race (gobelin, ect)
->use irfanview to rename "DraeneiMale" to "SCOURGEFEMALE" or "ScourgeFemale"
-> create a new text folder
-> import it
-> save and close

But when i run it with modeleditlive (the last udpate), i have a wow error "draeneimale.m2" if i remember right.

Anyone can help a newb ?

Sounds like it may be a localization issue? if you aren't using the english version of WoW and are typing in "Scourgefemale" or looking for the exact name "Character" that may be where it's going wrong? Just an observation, may be wrong in this though. But as Teufel stated you should still be able to make the edit with just the CHARACTER folder.

mhmm i dont know too, but even when i take ur patch and the fix(http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...dead-male.html), there is still the erorr with draeneimale.m2

exaclty:

Are you using modeledit properly? Loading Modeledit which will then load WoW. At login screen hit END, login, then after authenticating appears hit HOME and it should work.
