    [Question] Testing model edits

To the experienced and beginner model editers out there.
When you try out if your new stuff works, do you use wow-live or a private server? The reason I'm wondering is because the priv server I've been using has more downtime then uptime because of a slacking serv-computer and if it's safe enough to go live with test-edits.

    It depends

If I'm changing something I can immediately et my hands on(which I generally am) I'll use live.

Otherwise I'll boot up an emu.

I do most of my initial testing on emu, then I bring it to live. Only because a majority of what I do I like to have it done quickly, emu allows me to teleport to the affected area's quickly and I don't waste time waiting for boats or flight plans.

    Re: [Question] Testing model edits

Depends on the edit and the purpose of the edit. Some edits I don't even test. Those are the ones I release on here ; )

Nah. Well until 2 months I tested live of course. Now I am testing on localhost or in some map/modelviewer. But as said, there are still some edits I don't test.
