    [Question] Particle problem

    I'm having a bit of a problem here..
    (USING THE NEWEST MODEL EDIT FIX)

    have been changing some spells lately works fine, but when i tried change the BloodSpurt.m2 to BloodyExplosion.m2 by a patch file named patch-6.mpq my wow just crashes when i hit something ingame, the error says:

    Anyone got any idea of what im doing wrong? :confused:

    The particle related stuff seems flakey at best...If you're using the right modeleditfix...I wouldn't be suprised if the client is just choking on whatever it is you're throwing at it.

    I was adding ribbons/particles ect to character models and whatnot and it didn't like it to well...I dunno what voodoo crap they do to manage to make it work at all outside in WMV.

    so what you are saying is that it will be hard and time consuming to get this to work? (change stuff in Particles)
    cause i find wow so dry, need blood

    Dunno. I've not experimented with doing it like that much...just the other way of adding particles/ribbons. (m2 editing)

    Are you using the most recent WoW aswell? Mixing patches and MEFs isn't always good.

    If they're attaching spell effects like that by the model attachment point, as far as I know it should work reguardless of what you replace the blood splat with. But...*shrug*
