[QUESTION] I'm TOTALY pissed. please help pals. (^_^)

Ok, I'm pissed. i know. So i decided to screenshot all the stuff what is wrong so the masters like Demonkunga or Cryiet could help me ^^
I'M USING MywarcraftStudio version 10.0.0.2719
I was in this forum for about 1 year but I wasn't registered. Soooooo here is my problem:



Ok how usually I come up with the thing called "MyWarcraftStudio", therefore i know it pretty good, i guess. I edit the common.mpq what is in my data folder in wow folder :d So everything is good for now.






Now its ok but when i try to delete a dwarf and place there my .m2 it says like that! "error to extract data"



it deletes also all the "male" folder! omg! sooo pissed! But anyway I'm continuing my path. I import to the "Dwarf" folder "male" folder that contains the DwarfMale.m2 what is freshly modified. ok, now it looks like that.



And finally save it. So I open up wowmodelviewer. CHARACTER -> Dwarf -> DwarfMale.m2 and I was Like WTF! nothing worked




NOTHING CHANGED! It needed to be a darn cube but it is a darn dwarf! DARN!
I'm totally pissed.. so can Someone help me? any pros? I'll give rep.

I don't know if I understand you right, but you can not change your race etc IN MyWarCraftStudios, you have to extract them first, and edit them then. My suggestion is :
Download the MWCS version which is in the sticky thread in the Guides & Programs section and follow a race to race guide, maybe you'll find your mistake in there, eh?

well, I made the new DwarfMale.m2 in 3ds max and converted it to .m2 so there is nothing i can do with race swap, though. it just model convection.

Never edit common.mpq, do new files! (name them patch-x.mpq where 3<x<9 || 'a'<x<'z'!

Yah, that is how mwcs handles that. Normal.

Normal too, nice you know how to create the folders again ..

This is because you edited common.mpq.

common is the file that is loaded first. after that its expansion then patch and finally patch-2. If you modify some file in common it will be overwritten again by patch-x ..
so the answer& solution is: create a new mpq. it should be named patch-3 or something like that as mentioned above. That will fix the problem.
If the file still wont show up in the modelviewer be sure you added it in the options before and restarted the app!
