Voidwalker > Dreadlord

ok, so let me start off by saying im a noob at model editing. I have only done simple ones like druid feral forms and other simple things like that.
Then today I was trying to edit my voidwalker into a dreadlord. But I had a problem, the dreadlord had wings, which is a seperate .blp file from the rest of the skin. How would I get the wings of the dreadlord to show on my vodwalker when the voidwalker doesnt have corresponding wings? If anyone could do this edit for me and maybe tell me how to (or I might be able to look at the patch) or point me to a guide on how to do model edits where not all .blp files have corresponding .blp.
